For NYC investment bankers

Anyone working as a current analyst/associate at a major investment bank in Manhattan area? I happen to have a few connections, and I was thinking about possibly organizing a meeting, in a "happy hour" or over the weekend. As interviews are coming soon, maybe it would be beneficial for many people, and fun. I am sure it would help people on their resumes, cover letters, and networking, and just by simply meeting new people in the same industry. Any interests?

Dude, as much as I like to help people with their resumes and cover letters and networking, I gotta ask a banker question: What's in it for us? You have to give us something that will make us want to fight our seniors for those two hours off. You gonna buy our drinks and food? Take us out to a club afterwards? That's what my old school does when they bring rising seniors up to learn from us.

Otherwise, most of us will be working, sleeping, or partying with our own people.

You are absolutely right, and I would not mind paying few drinks if I get to know someone, and they are happy to help. Also I am sure it would be fun too, I am from Europe and travel a lot anyways, so I love meeting new people... I know that the work hours and the whole lifestyle is very challenging, but I don't have that many connections coming from a non Ivy school (and from Europe). I got good qualifications, and a great international background though. Let me know if anyone could take time off, and help me out.
