Fox Acquires Roku for $22BN

Roku entered a DA with Fox Corp for $22 billion dollars, creating the third largest streaming company in the world. Roku investors will get $97 and .97 Class A Shares of FOXA shares per ROKU share, totaling to $160 per share and a 34% premium from market close on Thursday. Anthony Wood, the founder of Roku will walk away with $3BN from the sale and remain as a board member on Fox Corp.

Fox plans to expand beyond traditional cable news with Roku’s 100 million household platform to increase reach and Ad quality.

Qatalyst acted as the exclusive Sell-Side Advisor to Roku. Allen & Co. acted as the lead Buy-Side advisor to Fox Corp with Goldman as an additional advisor and Morgan Stanley providing $12BN in bridge financing.
