Freshman Internship Questions

What's up everyone,

I have read on WSO that freshman internships are hard to come by, however I would like to do my best to try to get one for next year. Currently I am planning to apply to the JPM freshman IBD internship (I know this is very competitive). I was wondering what else you monkeys think I should apply to. PE/HF/Asset Management? ER or public finance at a BB? Anything at a boutique? I am looking for some solid advice on where I should be looking for next year.

Thanks

Freshman year internships are really considered icing on the cake. I studied abroad my freshman summer, had a PWM internship my sophomore summer, and landed a BB S&T SA stint for this upcoming summer. If you don't plan on studying abroad, volunteering or doing something else "special" this summer, than an internship is better than nothing. Take whatever you can get really. As long as you can get a name on your resume, sophomore recruiting should be pretty easy.
