Freshman summer internship

Hello, I am a freshman studying finance + economics and strategy at WashU in STL (semi target). I hope to break into investment banking out of college. I am looking for finance related internships this summer and have some questions.

1.) I see that most firms say they only hire sophomore/junior interns on their websites. Where should I look for internships that hire freshman, and what are the best types of internships that would help me land an actual IB internship next summer?

2.) I have a connection at edward jones and a connection at CBRE. Both of these firms list on their website that they are looking for juniors, would this be possible to land as a rising freshman? or is it out of the picture.

3.) Does anyone have a nationwide list of good companies internships for freshman summer? If so that would be highly appreciated.

Thanks
