Friends in IB are chilling hard, how can I get this?

I went consulting to large cap PE and I'm getting crushed. My friends who started and stayed in BB IB (generally 2nd year ASOs) are chilling hard. I want that. If I were to join as a 2nd year ASO now, could I get that lifestyle? What banks offer that?

What? We are not chilling.

New analysts can't get ramped up well due to wfh, so I'm now basically hand holding them through basic tasks Anand checking work, and being client facing.

I sometimes give up and just take master since I want to sleep sooner.

How are you hand holding them when you can't spell "and" correctly? Isn't that a "basic" task? Shouldn't you be "hand holding" your self? D U M B A S S !!!

What group are your friends in? If they are not in capital markets then that makes no sense since pretty much all BBs are getting crushed this year, at least what I heard in terms of WLB.

Which group? I am writing a strongly-worded letter to their MD now to remind him the importance of sharpening the tools.

Finding a group with WLB is unfortunately going to typically correlate to a less illustrious group. The top groups with highest and most diverse deal pipelines are going to require the most work for obvious reasons. Nothing wrong with seeking out a chiller group though with the priority of not hating your life over better comp and shinier/bigger deals on your resume.
