From IB to Blackrock

Hi everyone,

I have the opportunity to join Blackrock and leave my current position in a BB IB. I was wondering if this is a good career move if I’m looking for similar comp but fewer hours and am equally interested in both groups.

Any advice is appreciated!

It’s an investment group in the same asset class I currently work in. I’m just wondering if the comp and hours will be similar. If I were to change I’d definitely be looking for a better wlb

We need to know what you're currently on now and what BR will be paying you. Also need to know the role to answer if it is worth the move.

This is too broad of a question to answer. If it's a PE group, your hours and comp will be about the same - if AM, you will have pretty decent hours but your comp won't be the same as IB.

My understanding is that it’s an investment group. I’m trying to gather a fuller understanding before I continue meeting the team as I don’t want to waste everyone’s time
