FT IBD interviewing timeline first round
Just curious if anyone else have gotten interviews yet, I just got an email to schedule a first round with a BB not JPM, GS, MS. I figured this is really early to start interviews, but I guess I am wrong.

Did u have super days with the place that invited you to interview with them for an sa position? Did u receive an offer from them ?
Nope and nope. I'm a non target too or I guess you can say semi target but barely. I did however have a contact who knows the recruiting team very well internally who passed my résumé alone last week.
That's great! What dates are they allowing you to schedule on? Nothing in July I would imagine?
Asked what my schedule was like for the rest of the week. It will be a phone interview and it sounded like he wanted it done by the end of the week. But thanks I appreciate it
How are you interviewing so early? Can anyone provide some insight into this?
Yes, very early. Congrats. I am surprised they know how many they are looking for post SA hirings.
Yea this was my thought as well, but I spoke with my friend who interviewed with S&T for FT last year and he said his superday was the first week in August. I still find it weird they are interviewing without knowing how many SA they are giving offers too.
This for Wells?
No this is not for Wells
OP, how did you get an interview so early? I wasn't aware applications were open for FT. Was it strictly through networking and connections?
yes NYC an no idea I thought that FT recruiting starts way later so this must be really early accelerated interviewing or potentially a favor to my contact I have no idea.
So I asked my contact for clarity on why they are interviewing so early and his response was as followed,
"They are interviewing you now to see if you should participate in their end of summer interviews".
If that gives any clarity
Interesting... I wonder if that is a positive. Probably if you can make connections early on.
So it's an official interview before the interview
