Anyone else not getting any hits? At a pretty good coverage group at a BofA/Citi trying to recruit into a regional office from NYC and I haven’t gotten any hits yet. Is that the case for everyone or am I just getting unlucky?

I recruited FT last summer - basically no hits networking until last week in July/early August, and most of the FT interviews were the last week of August through September.
Was this for MM? And did you have a return offer?
Top 5 Rx firms. Seemed like most MMs were a little later in August.
a small regional office is worried about flight risk. they want to know why you'd leave NYC for their city and whether you'll bounce back in a year, so if your email doesn't lead with a real tie to that place (hometown, family, partner, went to school nearby) it gets archived no matter how good your timing is.
you're already inside a BB, so use it. a warm intro from a staffer or a senior with real relationships in that office beats any cold email. since it's a small office, you can usually skip straight to whoever runs recruiting there, often a VP or MD, without needing an analyst to pass you along first. if the seat you want happens to be at your own bank, check internal mobility before anything external.
keep the volume low. re-bump anyone quiet the first week of August, and if this is full-time 2027 recruiting rather than a first-year process, late summer is when things pick back up, so the silence right now is mostly people on vacation.
extremely helpful, thank you. I am both from the area of the regional office and went to school there too. Have been pretty up front in emails saying I wanted to be in that city for FT.
Not sure about my bank’s internal process and I had a spotty mid summer review hence my concern to ask my staffers about transferring. Wanted to wait till I had a return in hand first.
