FT Partners or Evercore Menlo Park?
Thoughts on exits into growth equity and tech PE? I know a few years ago this would undoubtedly be Evercore, but not sure anymore

This, FTP is a joke to most people, but I know some really smart dudes going to Evercore Menlo.

Idk about growth equity and tech PE mate. But I do know that FTP pays 140k which is more than most other banks, and that makes FTP the best and most elite bank out there to ever exist in every universe in the multiverse and beyond. Anyone who says EVC Menlo is willing to make 20k less in base every year, and by time value of money, the opinion should automatically be discarded.
Do you want to be:
1. Top financier making top bucks who will go down in history books (FTP easy)
2. Below average human (EVC Menlo is the choice, because finance in Bay Area is considered below average, unless it is with FTP)

This. How is this even a question - so what was once at the top tier of EBs is now in tier 1.5 and suddenly FT is the competition? Not a knock on FT but they're more a Ducera-type model; very high pay, very sweaty, not an 'elite' brand but doing some interesting deals and of course, are a strong player in fintech.
