Full Time Investment Banking With No SA Experience

Hi All, I'm a rising senior looking to get into FT analyst roles. I go to a target school (T5), ~3.8 GPA, good extracurriculars. My problem is that I only have corp finance experience because I thought that's what I wanted to do at first, but had a change of heart after SA apps ended. I want to recruit for FT and was wondering what the best plan of attack is. Been trying to network but it's been tough ... is the best plan of attack to focus on regional boutiques? Should I even try networking for BB? The few conversations I've had people have said to wait until SA accept FT or reject.

Definitely don't wait until they accept/reject current SAs. You need to be networking now - cast a wide net, BB, EB, MM. If you network, can get the technicals down, and know why IB (also be able to talk about why you didn't pursue SA) you are pretty competitive. But you need to be on people's radar from now until the last week of July so you can be first on the list if an intern doesn't get an offer or doesn't accept.
