Fund Finance is NOT Front Office? Am I Cooked???

I took an offer from Fund Finance, thinking it would help me long-term pursue a career in private credit, private equity, or leveraged finance. Also, the team looked very chill.

However, some WSO post says it is FO, but some say it is NOT FO, more Mid Office with a bad exit.

We do NAV financing, plain vanilla subscription, origination, etc. Am I pigeon-holing as a fresh grad or a not-bad option?

fund finance means different things at different places. in IB fund finance is pretty FO but it also describes ops/accounting/capital management at PE firms. would say if you're doing NAV financings you can exit to FO buyside opps
