Gartner VS Small advisory firm
I am a university student in first year that currently has two competing offers. In terms of my long term career goals, I am looking to enter investment banking, and thus will be pursuing internships in the big 4 accounting firms next year, and then try to land a banking internship in my third year (I do a four year degree, but 4th year is optional honors, so I can say I am "penultimate" in both second and third year). Currently I have offers for a specialized advisory firm (cannot say too much as its a pretty niche firm) and also an offer with Gartner (in b2b tech advisory sales) for internships over the end of year break. Is Gartner a relevant name in the banking/finance world, or should I stick to the smaller scale advisory in which I will learn skills that are more relevant, but the brand name is significantly lower.
