Gave two weeks notice at BofA and was sent home immediately but they won’t pay the 2 weeks of salary
Is this normal? HR said there is no notice period for associates and analysts so they won’t pay the two weeks of salary

You’re technically supposed to get the two weeks anyways because in banking when you give your “two weeks notice” you actually have to stop working immediately. This is because there is a risk of you taking confidential info with you to a competitor.
That’s what I thought but HR is saying otherwise

No, their signing bonus this year was a heath bar.
They do have to pay it and you can sue if they don't. If they want to fire you today then they have that right, but I'd assume that comes with some severance worth > 2 weeks anyway.
Only loophole would be if they have something in the contract if you leave before 12 months but I doubt something like that is in there or enforceable. Make them pay because you should not allow sly behavior to be rewarded and it's your duty to punish it.
This isn’t normal at all lol. You def are owed those 2 weeks of payroll since you should be still “employed” during your notice period.

I emailed HR today and they essentially told me to kick rocks so I need to call again and try to escalate this
