Geared or Levered, which sounds better?
I was having an argument with a mate of mine over which term for Debt/Equity sounded better.
He, in Infra PE is a user of the term "geared", whilst I, over in LevFin use "levered". I cannot conceive of a world in which geared up or gear up sounds better than levered up or lever up.
I am geared and my portcos are levered
LOL
I always assumed gearing referred to the debt/equity ratio whereas leverage was related to net debt over EBITDA....
levered
