Generalist - Overwhelmed?

Anyone doing a generalist program feel overwhelmed sometimes? Feel like the learning curve can be so huge sometimes in that I'm not really absorbing or learning whatever process I'm on as much as I want to.. its just deadlines and deliverables after one another.. Like after processing a deliverable or model for a infra sell-side deal next thing I know I'm doing a FIG buy-side sifting through 20 annual reports to see banks' loan qualities at time of acquisition for a client presentation and then suddenly im staffed on a tech IPO..

everytime I want to learn the industry or deal I'm on to really catch up on the weekend I get hit with work. Guess I'm just worried I may slip behind on some of these industry-specific deals and cant contribute as much to the process. I think I much prefer if I was staffed to a specific industry instead of generalist.. anyways thats my rant for today lol
