Georgetown MSB vs SFS vs College

I know there's been some threads on this, but I feel like some of the dynamics have switched at Georgetown, and I'd be interested to hear some updated opinions on the recruiting pipelines/opportunities available at each school relative to each other.

Beyond folks currently recruiting, can anyone who has any involvement in recruiting at BB/EBs/PE/VC/MBB or otherwise (just general high level business roles) comment on whether they distinguish between the three schools in their consideration of candidates?

Say its Finance/Accounting vs. SFS International Econ vs. College Econ/CS etc for example and each candidate is in the 3.6/3.7+ range GPA-wise.

I think that regardless of major, a higher GPA will generally be more accessible/easier to snag in the MSB vs. COL/SFS though. Does that have any weight with recruiters. Ie a 3.8 gpa finance major vs . 3.6/3.7 econ major (assuming both have similar ECs)

Dude, you shouldn't pick your major based on minuscule differences on how they're perceived by firms. Especially when considering there's no explicit preference - Georgetown is a target that's all that matters. Evercore is not gonna pick you just bc you're in the SFS or vice versa. Here's my personal perception of how the three schools compare on different factors:

Prestige (in general, not just finance): SFS > MSB > College

Amount of Work/Reading: MSB > COL > SFS (in that MSB gets the least amount of work. Col is more variable based on ur major)

Social Aspect / Girls: MSB > COL > SFS

Intellectual Stimulation (kinda subjective but whatever): SFS > COL > MSB

But at the end of the day, you're gonna invest 4 years into ur major. Don't pick it bc of what WSO tells you lol pick what you wanna study
