Going into Work Today

Today is officially a bank holiday.

No work to do today (all long term projects) and even those are dependent on other people, i.e. waiting to hear back, ball in someone else's court.

Is today like the equivalent of a sunday, ie. be at work if you have something to do / don't come in just to come in, or is it like a Monday, that happens to be a holiday.

So 3 survey questions: are you going in today? is it because you have to get something pressing done? and how many other ppl are also going in?

Don't want to be a slacker, the only guy not there, but no clear guidance on what to do from people I'm working with. I'm sure I would get shit for showing up, if its only 2 angry guys in the office who have been working all weekend, and I have nothing to do.

I am at work right now, in a floor of around 80 people only 10 people are here, of the 10, 3 are interns including myself. I really don't think the project I am working on right now is presssing, but they made it manadatory for all interns to show up at work.

I work in a smaller, regional office of a MM IB, and no one is in the office today. I had to log on this morning from home and there was one analyst in the NY office -- it has been dead all weekend and not one analyst has spent any time in the office since Friday afternoon. This is coming from a shop that has a bit of a "sweatshop" reputation.

What I'm saying is... I really feel bad if you guys are in the office!
