You can either work in classic or financing

Classic is the typical industry coverage group, where you advise on all deals (you hold pen on all m&a meaning if there is a MA deal in ur industry then you’re on it) you would also be the first point of contact for a company that wants to IPO for example - (the MDs in your industry group will have relationships w the companies ceo - so they win the business). then when you need to do the nitty gritty of the deal it gets handed off to the ECM team.

Under Financing sit - Investment Grade Capital Markets (DCM), Leveraged Finance, ECM, and Structured Finance … etc.

Happy to go in on anything

is M&A where you are in a specific
