Goldman Sachs Debt Capital Market

Hello guys!

I am considering applying to the IB Division of Goldman Sachs. What is the correspondent Debt Capital Market Team in GS? Is it what they call "Liabilities" Team? What can you tell me about the hours, salaries for first-year ASC and career growth? I was told that Debt Capital Market is the "best" as compared to M&A and ECM...what are your thoughts?

Thanks very much!

PS: Any thoughts also on the Pensions Team?

Goldman Sachs' DCM team sits undeer a group called financing.

In the U.S. its Americas Financing Group. this encompases DCm, ECM, Lev Fin, Private Capital Markets, and all the other usual suspects

Hours are same if not worse since the IG issuance market is back

ECM is long hours these days too as recaps go on.

It's very diff - you won't do much of valuation and more market related stuff.

As for exit ops - the usual + GS brand

M&A to PE, DCM + LEv Fin to HF / credit related things, ECM to long only funds, some PE or just buyside equity funds
