Both have great reps - I think the answer is it all depends on the group but if we are talking strictly from a rep standpoing - probs GS would be the winner as an analyst for me.
From a company perspective, as an analyst, I would choose Goldman Sachs because it is the world's best platform for investment banking. GS ECM vs. MS M&A, however... I'd choose MS, if interested in M&A/PE.
If I were a senior banker, I would choose GS IBD regardless of the group placement.
