Goldman Summer Insights

I'm a math/econ major at a target school and I want to apply to GS summer insights program. Can anyone who has done the program tell me about the process for applying, as well as recommending any other good freshman programs? I'm a first generation college student as well if that helps.

Also kind of a separate question, did those who did the insights make a cover letter for it, or just submit resume?

Non-target here, got selected for this program freshman year (rising sophomore)

I believe there were +12,000 applicants with only 1000 spots

Honestly, I did not enjoy this program a lot, I found it to be rather dull and monotonous.

It is not a hands on live program, it’s weekly prerecorded video modules that teach you about the recruiting process.

I think the only somewhat helpful part of it was the resume formatting and review module.

These are the following freshman programs I applied to and was selected for:

-Guggenheim Freshman Day on the Job (FDOJ)

-BNP Paribas ACE Summit (open to a select few freshmen)

-City Freshman Discovery Day program

-Credit Suisse Steps to Success

-Truist Insights Summit

-Vanguard Finance EXPLORE day

-T.Rowe Price Launching Your Legacy

-PIMCO Prep

-Morgan Stanley Leaders and Learning program

These are the ones I found but I’m sure there are more, it’s hard to find them but if you grind and research enough you’ll find them.

Hope this helps!
