Good Culture Bank vs. PE Pursuit
To all the career bankers out there who have seen both sides of the spectrum, would you recommend staying with a decent (but not well ranked) bank that has great culture or leave to pursue PE? I'm still very early in my career but l really enjoyed talking to a bank and was considering what it would be like if I went with that bank that doesn't have great PE exit opps, but instead stayed for the long run. Is the comp marginally better in PE with carry? Or does the comp grow just as much in IB as a senior banker? Would love to hear opinions, since I'm still a freshman.
