Got into Williams. Now what?

Hello!

I'm a high school senior from the east coast who was recently admitted to Williams College during the early decision round with Econ and Math as my intended majors. I was wondering what I could do now or during the upcoming summer to best prepare for a future career in finance or management consulting. Any internships I should be looking out for? Any tips for college? Any insight by current students or people in the industry is appreciated. Thank you!

Congrats on getting in to Williams! You should enjoy your summer because you're gonna grind when you get here. Some things to keep in mind during your first year are joining a club (there are a few consulting and finance clubs), maximizing GPA in your first semester (ask around to people you know there to help you pick your courses), and networking with people to find an internship for your first summer (finance related is great, but honestly anything will do). Winter Study has some courses on finance topics and you can talk to the Career Center about prep material. Don't stress it too much. If you're thinking about this stuff now, you're gonna do great.
