GPA boost if you think you need it to get to whatever cut off you’re facing, be it 3.0 or 3.7. Beyond that, personally I’d take something that interests me. If the latter, I’d ensure that the prof is solid / low chance of permanently damaging GPA (i.e. 3rd year + math/sciences or history/literature classes where only one person gets an A- and is the highest among a class of 80).
