GPA Background Check, Am I Screwed??

Hey all,

So I'm a student at university Y, and I transferred from university X. My university X GPA is 3.9, and my current university Y GPA is 3.7. On my resume, I listed my GPA for university X as "GPA: 3.9/4", and my GPA for university Y as "Cumulative GPA: 3.8/4" (average of 3.9 from university X and 3.7 from university Y) after a few people I networked with recommended I do this to have a better GPA on paper. Am I screwed for any background checks that may be done? My reasoning is that I specified that this is the "Cumulative GPA" vs regular GPA, so do I have a case in this?

Thanks again!!

Someone in a different thread mentioned that they might not check GPA or work experience during a SA stint, but might check it a year from now and rescind offers - is this true based on your experience?
