GPA for On Cycle

Incoming EB Analyst from HYPSW - have a 3.6 something and can’t round to a 3.7, is this going to hurt me in oncycle? / if I had a 3.7 would I do significantly better

edit: i know can’t do anything at this point, but would like to adjust my expectations

I don’t know how many times it can be said on this site before people begin to absorb what is being said.

On-cycle and off-cycle start off with speaking with headhunters. If you make a good impression here you will be put in front of any firm you want. Once you are in front of the firm it comes down to interview skills and how much the firm enjoys speaking with you. In every interview room I have been in and spoke with friends in the industry about I have never heard “yeah we ended up going with this person because they had a .1 higher GPA”

If you have a 3.5 or above you are fine for anything finance related.

 

How true is this coming from a semitarget? A little worried because people have been saying 3.8 is table stakes for the top mega funds

 

I didn't beleive in the DEI and nepo hires are of significantly lower quality argument until now, but after seeing you on all these threads I finally understand all the complaints. I can't imagine how it feels to lose a spot to someone with this lack of IQ and EQ.
