GPA question
Preface: don’t shit on me for asking this, only reason I’m curious is because not many in my major from my school work in IB.
I’m a stats/math major at a target (low-tier ivy), what minimum GPA could I have a shot at an SA role with an EB/BB? I know it depends but, just curious of what you guys have seen with approximate cut offs.
Use the search, theres dozen of gpa threads.
I used it. Didn’t find anything for STEM to IB, only consulting. Not sure if there’s a difference in GPA expectations.
As high as possible. Dependent on the bank you're shooting for (and your race/ethnicity tbh). People will always have a better GPA than you, so just make it better and focus on networking.
I think generally, the cutoff is 3.5, and the last cutoff is 3.7. That's what I've gathered from reading all the GPA posts over the last year.
Absolutely lowest for consideration (to get past resume drop to hirevue) is 3.25 assuming target. Will probably get shit for this but I’m at a top target and was told that verbatim by a friend at GS during recruiting. That being said, obviously your chances w a 3.25 aren’t great
