Grade Forgiveness - Resume
Long time reader, first time poster. So in my freshman year I had a terrible work ethic and a lot of hubris, long story short I ended up getting an F in business/social sciences Calc I. That summer, I took Calc I again at a local community college and did much better, and as much I ended up being able to go directly to hard math/sciences Calc I in my sophomore year. I took that Calc my sophomore year and got a B. Since my school offers grade forgiveness I approached our school's administration in December asking them about grade forgiveness for my situation, since I was taking a more difficult version of the same course. They indicated that this would likely be the case.
So when it came time to apply to places I assumed the grade forgiveness was in place and put that GPA. Now I am finding out that I will not get grade forgiveness as there is a strict policy on taking the exact same class. As such, my GPA is now .1 lower than as listed on my resume. I have a few interviews coming up with the .1 higher GPA listed, what should I do? Should I call HR or something and tell them it should be .1 lower or should I just wait and worry about it if it comes up?
Thanks for reading the long post and I know these boards have way too many of these bullshit questions but it is difficult for me to know what to do.
Why not just retake the business calc class this quarter/semester? It's probably not too late to enroll, and it will be an easy A.
I could do this and would definitely get an A, but this wouldn't show up until the end of the semester after the class is over and all the grades are in. I'm coming from a pretty low GPA anyway, so by that time after this semesters grades the GPAs will match up anyway.
Rule 1) Don't bring it up if they don't bring it up; chances are it won't come up
This is so insignificant
Come back if they ask about it and I'll give you rule 2
rule 2: pack your shit and head to the border?
Anyone have any other opinions?
