Best place to be in Toronto as an analysts - Best exits, great comp, and great culture. 2 in and out really makes seniors support recruiting, and culture is good in the sense that while you’re still going to work really, really hard, no one’s a dick about it. Best EB in Toronto, and imo, the #1 place. Too bad they only take one intern, and that can sometimes be a U.S student.

what do you mean 2 in and out, do they not promote A2A that much? And what do you mean by best exits?

Strict program where generally analysts are not promoted to associate and instead heavily encouraged to pursue other opportunities leading to exits to the best shops in Canada historically (Altas, Onex, now even Maverix in a way…). Can easily go to a Torquest, or pension if that’s what you’d fancy to.

This is incorrect. They aren't 2-and-out (although seniors do support recruiting) and they usually take 2-3 summer interns (2023 summer has three - two Ivey and one Yale)

Probably the strongest global independent firm in Toronto and one of the best offices at Greenhill globally. Team is 15 bankers and they originate and execute everything in Toronto (not a satellite office approach). They worked on some big deals last year (Brookfield/Westinghouse, Fairfax/Recipe, Cirque du Soleil CCAA) and are currently advising Canaccord Genuity on the management buy-out proposal (they replaced Barclays)

From what I hear, culture is great and recent exits have been good with several going to solid PE/HF in Canada and the US, and two A2As sent directly to HBS MBA
