Starting full-time as an analyst at GS this summer and filled out info for the background check over seven weeks ago. It still says screening and I haven't gotten confirmation yet that I'm cleared. Is any one else in the same boat or should I be reaching out?

I did the Goldman background check back in Feb and it said it cleared within a week or so. But then a few weeks later got an email from HCM asking for transcript. They’re probably just backed up
No news is good news on these things. You have plenty of time, I wouldn't start reaching out until you're like 1 month or less from your start date
Don't worry about it. You already got the job. Unless there's something in your background you're worried they'll find then there's nothing to worry about. This is just HR being HR.
Is it Sterling? Their website is kind of shit. Mine still says "screening", but the above box that says "Form completed" when I click on "view" I can see the whole report.

I got an email from GS about direct deposit details etc. so I guess it's done. The email did say though that background checks can take basically up to the very start date so I wouldn't worry about it.

How does Sterling verify previous employment? Was anyone asked to submit W2s?
They asked me to provide proof or supporting documents, so I got references for my previous internships. Haven't heard back yet but hopefully should be ok.

I’m in the same boat. Have been sharing documents and infos with Sterling for months now and never seems to end. Lately I have been asked for the same information 10 times. Really starting to get worried about getting delayed start
