Pretty sure once you hit the VP level they can fire you without dealing with as much administrative hassle (heard this from a staffer who was talking about the rationale of giving 0 bonus rather than firing)

Like I said I talked to a staffer who said this is part of the strategy sometimes to show people the door.
That’s an insulting bonus but not surprising considering they laid off recently promoted VPs (as in associates that got a promotion announcement last month)
15K better than many at JPM who got 0 or the hot pocket and ohio state cap
