Shit overall. No one wants to stay in FIG so the good analysts are obviously leaving after 2-3 years to awesome PE exits, but then you're stuck with mediocre A2A or not-so-great MBA associates

 

3/4 APO exits were generalist this year, 1 to APO FIG. +1 or 2 to H&F yearly 

 

Agreed, the associates at GS FIG are mediocre to bad (plenty of them diversity kids)

HC is a sweatshop too, not sure where you’re getting that from. Would say C&R has best culture/hours at the bank

 

Avoid GS FIG. Sure the exits at the analyst level are great, but other than that it's probably the least appealing GS coverage group. Associates/VPs are miserable and quite average to be frank, on top of the fact that the subject matter is extremely niche

 

huge discrepancy on the analyst vs associate (and up) level. The former are usually sharp and exit really well, while the latter are nothing to write home about (plenty of typical mediocre MBA / diversity associates)
