Come August, DJ Sol will/ should announce the pay increment for his junior bankers.
1. What are the expectations? Will they simply do the 100K (AN1) / 175K (ASO1) match, or will they exceed?
2. If pay gap is closed, will GS regain some of its former recruiting prowess?
Speculating, but I think GS will try to compensate above market (BB), and close the pay gap between them and the EBs.

On the flip side, I would much prefer to have a higher share of profits in a year like this when profits were through the roof. My guess is it won’t actually net out the way people imagine, so it doesn’t really matter, but I would generally prefer more risk and chance of upside (which is why I work at a HF).
