GS Securities Investing Superday- Advice Needed!

Hey guys, somehow lucked into a GS Securities-Investing superday for next week. To be honest with you, I have no idea how I got it. There was essentially NO technicals, all fit.

Here are the desks that may interview me:

  • Americas Special Situations Group (AmSSG)
  • Bank Loan Distressed Investing
  • Global Commodities Principal Investments (GCPI)
  • Goldman Sachs Principal Strategies (GSPS)
  • Goldman Sachs Reinsurance Group (GSRG)
  • High Yield Distressed Investing
  • Money Market Origination Group
  • Strategic Portfolio Solutions Group (SPSG)

I have BB IBD background, but I know virtually nothing about S&T beyond casually following the markets.

  1. Should I expect my interviews with desks to be extremely technical?
  2. How do I prepare?
  3. What is the reputation of these groups? I.e. all other things equal, in terms of exit opps, would placing into these groups be better than a vanilla IBD group?

Thanks, much appreciated.
