GS SF vs MS LA vs BarCap NY
Please help me rank in order of deal flow / quality of work!
I have already considered the people and location in my personal decision but would prefer not to bias your opinions.
Thanks

GS SF is probably the most "prestigious" if the group you're in is TMT. Don't discount the other two though- great options.
.
been out of banking for a year now, but last i heard, ms la wasnt that great. not much execution and true deal flow out there for analysts. gs sf all the way
How do the other two rank? I'm slightly leaning away from GS SF for personal reasons.
all great options, if location doesnt matter, you gotta go with GS SF
Morgan Stanley LA hands down, especially if you're in the M&A group there. Senior guys are well connected and the office has a great culture
Agree with the post above. If you are indifferent about the loaction I would say go with the firm you liked best.
I'd definitely take MS or GS. Are analysts generalists at GS SF? I know at MS LA they are, until you hit 2-3rd year Associate. Meaning you work with products (M&A) as well as each of the industry groups.
GS SF analysts can be TMT or generalist.
Does BarCap NYC really suck that much?
Yes, BarCap NYC is a shit show outside of energy.
Have you looked at league tables for 2010?
Curious to hear why Barcap isn't doing so well right now.
