GS TMT Culture

Interned, now joining FT in NY TMT.

This is just wrong, couldn't be more of the opposite. Most people at the junior level are friendly, outgoing and collaborative. The culture is surprisingly heavily reliant on people helping each other out. I would also say that there is a work hard play hard attitude and a lot of analysts like to go out together.

The hours are tough but the people/culture make it bearable, alongside the exit opportunities and reputation.

How does culture in TMT compare to FIG, and since TMT is one of the largest groups, do you think that the culture of GS TMT varies depending on the subvertical/office?

What exactly is the point of this post? If you get into one of the best banking groups, you’re going to accept whether the culture is awesome or not. And likely you won’t get in, so don’t worry about the culture.

try adding some value with your comment next time, prospect.

Culture is very good as people described. Strong and tight-knit, everyone willing to help each other out and friendly and collaborative. WLB is pretty bad. Analysts will be consistently online until 3-4am for many weeks in a row
