Better experience for interns imo if in office. That being said the ceo of Goldman really sounds tone deaf with his latest comments. Obviously helps when you’re him and can take a chopper into work everyday from the hamptons. Wonder if any of these senior guys stop and think about what they’re saying out loud

That is the biggest crock of shit. Let them work from the comfort of their parents’ homes when they’re going to get worked like dogs this summer anyway. What’s the point of making them pay rent unless there is absolutely no doubt that work won’t be remote.
After seeing this, thinking JPM might be hybrid too since HR hasn't confirmed virtual, guess not all banks are willing to do all virtual.
had a meeting with JPM HR last week... they said 99% chance it's virtual, just not confirmed yet
I work at JPM, expect to work in the office at a minimum on a hybrid model.
Hard to really fault him. People have argued that we will have effective herd immunity by April and at the very least high vaccination rates for vulnerable populations. Most stubs/first years here who haven't seen anything but WFH since starting full time have absolutely hated it. And it's definitely limited development.

Interned last summer from home and been taking classes from there this year. I'll be in NYC either way with other interns at a different bank so I hope we have some in-person elements if possible. I know lots of actual employees want to WFH forever but most SA2021 interns have never been in a real office so we can't be sick of it yet.
