Gtown MSF v Vandy MSF
Assuming price and everything is the same which one is better for exit opps and recruiting full time? Which one brings the better value and opportunity?

Career Resources
currently in gtown msf
outcomes depend on your previous profile and how much effort you put into recruiting
you can recruit for summer internships at gtown due to the program having 1 and 2 year options. also, gtown has on campus events from many major banks, consulting firms, so you can network during your first year for full time recruiting.
vandy msf is good if you want to do lmm/boutique ib and have prior experience
I have a pretty strong resume and solid internships and want to do the 1 year program instead of 2. Would you still recommend gtown.
i think it really depends on what you're looking for.
there are some ppl in my cohort who're doing in 1 year and will go to IB full time at middle market banks. you just gotta prep in advance and network a lot.
vandy's interview prep resources are likely more concentrated on undergrads going into full time recruiting. but if you already know the technicals, you can network at alumni at many banks from both schools.
Plenty of vandy MSF’s end up at BB
my bad, i didn't see the updated 2024 outcome report. the 2023 one didn't have that many bb's.
to that point, georgetown has BB/EB placement as well (goldman, pwp, jpm, bofa, etc) and pe (blackstone).
vandy is fantasic program if you're focused on IB (i think more than half end up doing IB)
georgetown has lot of students who are interested in doing AWM and consulting, so it's a bit diluted in IB outcomes
Bump
Easily Vandy
How come
Do Vandy for sure. Gtown solid for DC placement and if u want to do 2 years. If not, do Vandy 100%.
Vanderbilt MSF... I asked this in the other forum so apologies for duplicate message but I am a senior and considering applying but I'm really put off by the 20% class makeup of females... this stat seems really low to me. Is there an "old boy" type feeling to the class? Is there a reason so few are accepted? I was excited about applying but this really turned me off!
