Guggenheim already recruiting for 2020
I'm a current sophomore at a target. I just received an email from one of the clubs that I'm in stating that Guggenheim is hosting an info session next week for current sophomores interested in its 2020 summer analyst program. I think this is ridiculous and can't believe that recruiting is starting already. Is this unique to Guggenheim or do you think other banks will follow suit? Is this worth attending?
info sessions dont really mean much, it would be different if it was like a resume drop

I go to true semi target, for some banks we're core but for most they don't even have OCR for us this year (thank you visas.....)
RIP Non-Targets. This is actually so stupid in my opinion. Like why would you do this Guggs? I get that its just an info sesh but like still that gives me the impression that resume drops are on the near horizon.
So, with info sessions starting already, does this mean resume drops will happen right after the holidays?
Honestly this is beyond ridiculous...they gave offers out at my school in April. They're getting desperate for targets.
Evercore is hosting an information session at my school next week...
They might not do much after the info session or really just take few kids through that then recruit more people through a much later timeline. Just IMO.

My experience last year had been that all the places that said 'fall for non-targets' ended up filling every non-target spot through referrals / MD's long before fall.
Last year Gugg had told me fall for non-targets, then my contacts got back to me in June saying that filled every spot
Greenhill Houston said something similar. Recruiter in March initially told me the process would be in the fall, got back to me in May saying they weren't doing any non-target recruiting process at all.
My school's superday isn't for another month if that helps anyone.

I believe Gugg superday is in August. Not sure when first rounds will be sent out.
Idk if this is just for targets but they send out Superday invites last Thursday and it will take place in 2 weeks.

Guggenheim has already finished their first round of superday about a week or two ago (RX). It was all target school students, but they haven't extended many offers from my knowledge
