H1b Sponsorships - How many people in the office are sponsored

Came across some interesting data on the IBs that sponsor (source: here), and how many visas they apply for (note: apply for, not all of it is guaranteed) + my own dive into US Department of Labor data.

It also counts back office and middle office staff - presumably a lot of tech folk from Asia. Doing some basic number crunching, even a place like Evercore sponsors like 45+ analysts and associates across NYC and CA, which sounds huge for an EB

My question is: do guys/girls who actually need sponsorship have a real shot? What proportion of analyst/associate intakes are internationals vs. those who already have US work authorization?
