Had a superday last Tuesday, they said they'd get back to us before the end of the week....

but none of the people I spoke to heard back. Do you think I should email all the 8 people I interviewed with and reiterate my interest? I thought the interviews went great and half the people I interviewed with emailed me back after I said my thank you email. One even he's looking forward to being in contact soon in his follow up to my thank you email.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but in a best case scenario they may contact you if the candidate they wanted to go with turns them down and you were choice #2. Most likely scenario, you weren't chosen and they're never going to get back to you or you get some auto rejection email a month or five later.

The interview team usually convenes immediately after super days, candidates are ranked and the candidate selected is notified within 24 at most 48 hours.

Just gotta keep applying and interviewing my man.

What NPV said, but is the firm a boutique or a sizable one?

Boutiques' recruiting timelines are rather sporadic and unpredictable given their smaller nature and if work hits the fan then all other matters is naturally put on the back burner.

Gotcha.

So multiple scenarios ranging from you not being among the top choice by the firm to work slowing down and an additional analyst (or however many they had allotted for this cycle) not being needed.

But definitely circle back with a few key members at the firm from your perspective, whether that's the most senior member of the group you interviewed for, along with the one interviewer who seemed enthusiastic about hiring you and maybe even HR?

And keep applying/interviewing at other places, so at the very least you have other options and maybe even leverage to nudge this firm's hand to hire you.

Thanks for the reply, this is actually for a summer associate role (I'm a first year MBA student), yeah I have multiple interviews this coming up but I would have liked to be done with all of this recruiting. I'll email back a few of the people I interviewed with as well HR and just hope for the best.

Thank you for the advice! Is it okay to email them today, even thought it's Christmas Eve?

Understandably so. I don't think anyone, at least the ones that I know, actually love the process of interviewing itself, haha.

Whenever I get this question regarding emails around _____ (insert name of major holiday), I would say it varies, but:

  1. If the concern is politeness, I would say shoot your shot because if they really despise any work related matters coming up during aforementioned times, they would have their notifications off and are going to get back to you when they come back to work.

  2. If it is more so pertaining to hit rate, then I would say right before the email recipient starts working is a pretty solid time (i.e. if work days start at 9:00am, then sending one at 8:30am).
