Have you ever considered sales...?
I often time read posts from people saying something along the lines, “what is the easiest job that I can make 300k a year.” People often answer Corp Dev or something along those lines. If IB/PE isn’t for you, might be something to think about.
For those who wants a better work/life balance, but still high pay - have you ever considered sales. People regularly make 350-500+ in sales without crazy hours and pretty early into their careers. Close friend of mine pops is a MD in sales and regularly rakes in 700
I have seen some people make good money in sales and I have seen a lot of people make less money/middle class money. I think IB provides a much safer route to getting to a 6 or 7 figure salary.
My brother works in software sales. In short, you can make very good money IF you are very good and have a talent for the job, otherwise you won't last long at all.
It's not like Finance where it's about your education / experience etc, they just want people who have "it" regardless of your background.
