Healthcare Investment Banking / PE

Hi, I’m an incoming IBD SA in London. I’m really interested in healthcare investment banking / private equity and was hoping to learn more about the industry.

What are the best teams for healthcare coverage in London? Any advice for those looking to build a career in healthcare IB and ideally exiting to healthcare private equity?

Any general comments welcomed also!

Intern in IB-M&A:

JP, Jefferies, Rothschild (more focused on MM),  Citi slowly climbing up after getting the JP MD. PJT, Evercore. Think BofA more US focused?

Is Jefferies not MM too?

Evercore healthcare mostly focused on US but still a few large-cap deals in Europe. Doesn't really matter regardless since global pnl is shared so arguably one of the best groups to land in London considering it's practically an arm of evercore nyc.

Will London analysts also be staffed on US deals?

EVR HC not really HC, more pure Biopharma, but does a ton of large cap in the space.

Jeffs sweatshop central, but undeniably a top dog in the HC space in LDN. Tommy Erdei is a serious rainmaker.
