Help on Modelling faster??

Hey guys, I'm curious as to how you people get the historical financial data into excel to produce your models. Right now I'm having to type in each individual revenue, cogs, sg&a, dep. etc for each quarter which takes forever. Is there some code or program where you can automatically cover over historical data? Ideally without having to pay for anything like bloomberg, capiq. I've thought about coding a program to do but wondering what you think
