Help with Application IBD

Hi,

I'm applying to a BB bank in the UK and need to answer the following question as part of the application:

Describe a recent development in the Investment Banking industry. What implications might this development have for the division to which you have applied? (IBD)

I was think of talking about the increasing important of SWFs as investors in private placements. This coupled with the growth in companies doing equity issuances to pay down debt presents clear investment opportunities for SWFs.

Obviously this effects the banks as they now need to build up relationships with SWF - who are important now investors.

Comments and any other examples would be greatly appreciated.
