Highest Exit Valuation
Got asked this by an MD:
Your client runs a private company and approaches you because they want to sell their business. Discuss the different options your client can take and the impact each method would have on the final valuation. What would you recommend to your client?
Hoping some bright monkeys can help explain the thought process for this question.
Sounds like the MD is asking exits. IPO vs. Private Exit to either a Financial or Strategic buyer.
Would you be able to explain the differences between them. I know strategic would most likely pay more than a financial buyer but how would this compare to an IPO?
