Interviewing for SA 2026 position in the Industrials (ADG) Group. I've heard a lot of bad feelings towards HL on account of its culture and lack of support. That said, it's hard to answer "why us" when, for the most part, a lot of MM banks are very similar. MD and VPs probably hear a lot of BS answers for this question, but what's the best way to go about this?

Deal volume - that is HL's calling card. They aim to have enough volume that PE's have to give them mandates so said PE's don't get cut out of CIP distribution lists.
Don't talk about the 2nd part, but the whole HL model is built on volume.
