I guess the limited responses are given to the fact that most of the people on this forum (including me) don't know much about Asia

My advice would be to take the role you enjoy the most; if you like RX, take HL; if you like M&A take Laz

Exits from both Laz and HL RX have been very strong over the years, I would argue that for NY HL RX places a higher % into MF/UMM because of how small and selective the class is but at the end of the day for PE it matters how good you are once you are in a good group I would not worry about marginal differences. I don't think that just because you are taking a RX role your exits will be limited to distress (with a quick linkeldn search you can see that HL RX has placed several to Apollo PE)

Finally overall, they are both very good places, but it is also worth noticing that HL placement is very dependent on location so very hard to give advice without knowing more
