Holiday season as a junior banker

Joining the industry in the near future and was wondering what the expectations for juniors are from around Dec 24-January 1. I understand that it probably varies a lot, but was just wondering.

things slow down around the holidays. most banks will generally respect PTO if you take it - they make sure there are enough analysts "working" during any given time for coverage purposes. You may still get your vacation ruined by a holiday deal, but this usually only happens to a few analysts

Haven’t done anything this week asides from quick 20 min tasks here and there but in back of my mind there’s always the fear that something will come up. So haven’t really made plans.

Driving toward VA tomm and doing ridiculous things like leaving at 730am and hopefully be at my destination well before 1pm so can cover up any tasks which the analyst can’t get to.

This job really gets suffocating at times..
