Houlihan 2-Hour Modeling Test
Hi,
I have an upcoming modeling test for an Associate position in HL's consumer group. Was told it would be a 2-hour DCF modeling test. Anyone have any experience with this specific test or any pointers? Wondering if it's more focused on building out a three statement model and simple DCF at the end.
Typically, it would be an operating model and then create the DCF. Keep it simple, they just want to know you understand the mechanics, drivers and have the right idea. Elaborate on your assumptions if you need to make any. You should be able to do this within 1 or 1.5 hours. Then, spend the rest of the time formatting and checking over the model.
What would be the best way to prepare for something like this? I have Training the Street and Wall Street Prep. Not OP, but I’m an ANL in a group that doesn’t do much modeling. Thinking how to prepare if I ever were to try to lateral.
